Not a story, or a poem, just words.
.
Our eyes roll out of their place and into the dark river. Synthetic stones take their place. Our eyes, now his property, sink to the bottom, bouncing off each other, and separating from their twin. Isolated and unaware, they settle to the bottom. The river remains unchanged, reflecting the light above it, accepting his residents with open arms. Our minds, still chained to our eyes, continue to wander, seeing what we've always seen. Nothing.

Word Count Wednesday
Here's a very late Word Count Wednesday! Sorry!
What am I working on?
I am continuing the narrative I turned in to professor Bradford. I'm also making some much needed changes.
How do I feel about the process?
There are a lot of moving parts to the story so I'm trying to write it in a way that isn't too confusing for the reader. It makes sense in my head but I'm not sure if what I'm thinking is translating through my words.
Word count: 3500
What am I reading?
Not much. I'm working on a couple of research projects, they have occupied much of my free time.

Word Count Wednesday
What am I working on?
I am currently working on the narrative assignment for this class. I've been having trouble getting started, this is always the most difficult part of the writing process for me. It's not because I'm not motivated to write, it's because the subject of the narrative is very important to me and I want to make sure I do it justice. (it has an underlying message of trying to heal the environment from the damage we've caused- this is very important to me!) The story itself is not about the environment but it will definitely play an important role. I'm also trying to avoid the stereotypical apocalyptic world setting (because you know, it's been done A LOT)
How do I feel about the process?
It's not moving along as smoothly as I would like it to go, I feel like I'm typing in slow motion. So in other words, very frustrating. There's lots of deleting and rewriting going on. The "delete" key on my computer will surely be broken by the end of the week.
Word Count?
237, not nearly done.
What am I reading?
Kite Runner and parts of my oceanography textbook. Loads of fun.
